About

Hey, I’m Robby.

Let’s get the awkward part out of the way: I’m not a financial advisor. No finance degree, no CFP, no framed Warren Buffett quote glaring down from above a mahogany desk. For most of my twenties, my money strategy was “open the banking app, make a face, close the banking app.” Repeat until payday. That’s not a system. That’s a coping mechanism.

Eventually I got tired of feeling vaguely broke on a not-broke income, so I went down the rabbit hole. Read the books, tried the budgets, ignored the guys who talk about compound interest like it’s a personality trait. And it clicked: the whole thing is way simpler than the finance world wants you to believe.

It comes down to one line:

Money is a tool for building the life you actually want. So pour money into what you love, quietly cut what you don’t, and stop feeling guilty about either.

That’s the entire philosophy. Not deprivation. Not a spreadsheet that makes you feel called into the principal’s office. Not giving up your morning coffee to retire eight months sooner and arrive having forgotten how to enjoy it. Just figure out your kind of rich, then aim your money straight at it.

Here’s what the “your latte is why you’re broke” crowd gets wrong: the goal was never to spend as little as possible. It’s to spend like crazy on what lights you up, and cut the rest without flinching. Keep the coffee. Cancel the four streaming services you forgot you’re paying for. No one’s bank account was ever rescued by misery.

What you’ll find here: budgets that survive past the first weekend, saving without becoming a hermit, spending on purpose, earning a bit more without selling your weekends to a side hustle, and the money curveballs real life throws at you. All from a dude who’s weirdly into this and won’t make you feel dumb for asking.

What you won’t find: hot stock tips, crypto moonshots, schemes to get rich by Friday, or anyone pretending this is effortless. It isn’t. It’s just not complicated, and a lot of the “rules” you’ve been handed deserve a hard side-eye.

The obligatory disclaimer: I share what worked for me and the thinking behind it. I’m a guy on the internet who got good with money, not your financial advisor. For anything tied to your actual situation, talk to a pro who knows the details.

Anyway. Glad you’re here. Let’s go build your kind of rich.
